3 Reasons Laughter Benefits You and Your Daughter

One of the quickest ways to connect with your daughter is through laughter.

But let’s be honest. Does your daughter’s silliness and playfulness drive you nuts sometimes?

You want her to be serious about…

  • Her grades
  • Helping around the house
  • Sports, dance, piano or other activities
  • Her future and college
  • Her choices

It’s easy to get annoyed with your daughter when you hear her laughing with her friends and you know she’s not taking her life seriously.

But what if you knew that your daughter was being productive when she was laughing and being playful.

I believe your daughter knows intuitively that laughter is really the best medicine.

On the other hand, mothers get stressed out and too serious. Because our schedules get overwhelming, laughter gets eliminated. Laughter gets bumped off our list because there are too many important things to do.

But laughter and playfulness are a high priority for your daughter. And she is right.

Your daughter can help you remember the benefits of a good laugh.

You may be the one that needs to lighten up and not be so serious. Here is my question for you.

How does ‘serious’ work for you and your daughter? Probably not well.

It’s not that you want to eliminate ‘serious’, it just needs to be in balance with the playful side.
