Dial Down the Drama Book Club

Dear Moms,

Will you join me on June 15th for the Dial Down the Drama Book Club? We will be using my award-winning and best-selling book, Dial Down the Drama: Reducing Conflict and Reconnecting with Your Teenage Daughter—A Guide for Mothers Everywhere. (This applies to teenage boys too!)

It’s challenging raising teens in normal circumstances, but now you are dealing with a summer impacted by Covid-19. Some of you are still Shelter in Place and others are in different phases of reopening. I know many of you have had summer plans cancel. You thought your teens were going to busy with summer camps, programs, and internships. Many of you are plagued with the question, “What am I going to do with bored teenagers in the house? Will I ever get my life back?”

These difficult conditions can easily dial up the drama in our homes especially as we head into summer. This book club is designed to keep you steady and grounded in this unusual time. During this 8-week study, you’ll learn practical ways to dial down the drama, reclaim your life, and have a healthy connection with your teen and your family.

Who is this for?

This is for a small group of moms who know they need support right now and want to be connected with other Likeminded moms.
This is for moms who want to be intentional and not reactive.
This is for moms who want to glean the opportunities out of this difficult time.
This is for moms who would love to have someone guide you through unknown waters through weekly coaching and support.
This is for imperfect moms who are willing to be authentic and real.
This is for moms who know there is a better way to relate to their teens.
This is for moms who don’t want to spend the next 8 weeks a total hot mess.
This is for moms who want to model how to go through this challenge with grace, courage, and strength.

Dial Down the Drama Book Club is an 8-week program that will be starting Monday, June 15th and finishing August 13th.

What do I get when I join the Dial Down the Drama Book Club?

1. The Mom Memo

Every Monday morning you will receive from me The Mom Memo, which is designed to start your week off on a positive note. The Mom Memo will give you a summary of the chapter that we will be discussing later that week. Also, The Mom Memo will include focus questions that will help you apply the content to your own situation. Each week you will be given one challenge. The purpose of this is to help you create new healthy patterns. You will also be encouraged to choose a one-word intention for the week, which I call the Word of the Week. In this unprecedented time it’s easy to default into dread and resentment, I will be coaching you how to live intentionally.

2. Book Club with Likeminded Moms

This will be held every Thursday at 1 pm EST, 12 pm CST. We will meet on Zoom for an hour to an hour and a half every week. The weekly sessions will be recorded and sent to you afterward. I have designed this for busy moms; if you can’t be on the whole call, you can listen to it afterward.

The purpose of the Zoom meeting is two-fold. 1. You will have a chance to check in with me and share insights from the book. 2. You will have a chance to ask-me-anything question. Moms love Book Club because they feel they are not alone and they get so much out of listening to what other moms are going through.

(During this unprecedented time of COVID 19, Likeminded moms will greatly benefit from being together, learning together, being authentic together, and cheering one other on. We can do hard things together!)

What’s the Cost? $295

I want to make this an easy decision for you. This is what I charge for a one-hour session in my private practice. The Dial Down the Drama Book Club gives you 8 weeks of coaching, and connection with other moms for the same price of a one-hour session.
